Prayer

"They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer"  - Acts 2:42

2:42 Prayer Gathering

The first Wednesday of each month, we gather together in the sanctuary from 6:30 to 7:30pm to pray for ourselves and on behalf of others. 2:42 is a time for us to seek God’s face together and to let the Holy Spirit renew us.

Sometimes we need to cast all our cares upon the Lord. Sometimes we need others to pray for us.  Sometimes we need to be still and listen for His still small voice. 2:42 creates space for us to meet with Jesus however we may need.

Please note: in a similar manner to our Sunday morning services, we will be following social distance guidelines and masks are required.

Our God Hears Prayer

Here at Christ Church we know that God hears and answers our prayer. The infinite and all-powerful God has revealed himself to the world, and enables us to develop a relationship with him in prayer. Prayer is one of our essential connection points with the power and presence of God. It builds our relationship with God and we are transformed in the process.

Sunday Morning Worship

Prayer is an essential part of our worship on Sunday mornings. Much of the worship service itself is prayer to our Heavenly Father, including extended times of corporate prayer.

We have a devoted prayer team who gathers at 9:30am on Sundays to pray before the service. All are encouraged to participate.

Prayer ministers are available during Communion to pray with you for any needs you may have. Prayer stations are located at the back of the sanctuary.

We are always ready to pray with you for any physical or spiritual need you may have. If you'd like to schedule a prayer appointment during the week please contact the Church Office.
