Tim Melton
Associate Pastor [email protected] 843.357.6184 (x104) Tim joined Christ Church as Associate Pastor in 2021. Tim has served as a pastor for over 30 years in Presbyterian churches. Tim earned his Masters in Theology from Columbia International Seminary. Tim and his wife, Martha Jo, have been married since March of 1988 and have two grown children - Callie and Camp. Callie is married to Drew Nelson and they have one child, Atlas. Tim and Martha Jo also serve as Christian Counselors for Hope Discipleship and Soul Care. Tim loves the arts and enjoys using that talent to communicate the gospel in various creative ways - including digital art, video production, writing, and singing. Tim’s greatest desire in ministry is that people will know and experience the magnificent treasure of love that is found in a living Union with King Jesus. |
Joshua Rupp
Director of Worship Ministries [email protected] 843.357.6184 (x101) Joshua joined the staff at Christ Church in 2017. He leads and coordinates musical worship and creative expressions of worship at Christ Church, and he also heads ministry to teens and their families. He is a singer-songwriter, family man, amateur food aficionado and above all else a grateful son of the living God. He is husband to Julia and a father to Abigael and Brayden. He loves fun and adventure such as traveling, camping, hunting, fishing and athletics (basketball, golf, tennis and more), and he has journeyed across 47 states and 10 countries in music ministry. He has a degree in Church Music from Cedarville University and many years of worship arts experience. He has a passion to help Christ Church experience God's presence and express wholehearted worship. Joshua is excited to work with the youth to develop a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. Cameron Crickenberger
Curate for Church Planting [email protected] Cameron joined the staff at Christ Church in 2022 as the Curate for Church Planting. He has been married to his wife, Julia, since May of 2014, and they are so thankful to have three children – Charis, Eli, and Rosie. Both Cameron and Julia grew up in the Grand Strand area, he in Forestbrook/Socastee and she in Little River. Both attended Columba International University, and since then Cameron’s theological training has taken their family to Minneapolis, Vancouver, and St Andrews, Scotland. Cameron loves reading all sorts of genres—theology, history (both true and fiction!), biographies, essays on philosophy and cultural criticism, epic fantasy, and even the odd book of poetry. He also loves all things drinkable, most things edible, the outdoors (if it’s not too hot), and laughing. His passion is to see God’s people learn to deepen their faith—both their love and understanding—through talking and working together at it. |
Julia Rupp
Director of Family Ministries [email protected] 843.357.6184 (x102) Julia joined the Christ Church staff in 2017 as the Director of Children’s Ministry. She leads the critically important ministry to children and their families. She is a graduate of Cedarville University in Ohio where she received a BA in Elementary Education. She spent several years teaching in various school settings (International, Christian, and public). Prior to coming to SC, she was the Director of Children’s ministry in a large church in Northern, MI. Julia loves children and families and it is her heartfelt desire and calling to serve Christ by actively reaching out to children and families to help them develop a life-long relationship with Jesus. Verses that sum up the Lord’s calling on her life are: ”We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord....Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands” (Psalm 78:4-7). She is married to Joshua, and mother to Abigael and Brayden. |
Kelsey Johanson-Huggins
Parish Administrator [email protected] Kelsey joined the staff at Christ Church in 2024 as the Parish Administrator. She ensures efficient internal church operations while providing support to the clergy in their ministerial duties. Prior to her role at Christ Church, she served as an Executive Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator. She first moved to Murrells Inlet in 2004 and is a graduate of St. James High School and the College of Charleston. Kelsey and her husband, Colby, were married at Christ Church in September of 2015. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Mary Egan and Quinn. Early in new motherhood, Kelsey realized the importance of finding other moms and building a community of support. In 2021, upon returning to Murrells Inlet and Christ Church after five years in the Charlotte area, God placed the mission of Connected Moms on her heart. Her passion is to bring mothers together to be blessed by, and to bear witness to, God’s unfailing love and grace during such a formative season of life. In her free time Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, running and thrifting. |
Jeff Ullom
Facilities & Special Projects [email protected] Jeff is our volunteer multi-tasking ninja who handles a wide variety of essential tasks at Christ Church. He joined the team in 2009 and he manages the facilities and generally helps make sure things run smoothly. For 35 years Jeff managed air traffic facilities around the country, including Chicago O’Hare Approach, Minneapolis Tower, and Cleveland tower. He has been married for over 40 years to his wife, Pat. They have and seven grandchildren and one great granddaughter. |
Sherri Strickland
Bookkeeper [email protected] 843.357.6184 (x105) Sherri Strickland is a CPA with a small local practice in Myrtle Beach. She specializes in bookkeeping, individual tax returns, and many other areas of public accounting. She joined the staff at Christ Church in 2020. Sherri has been a Christ Church member since 2013 and has served on both the Finance Team and the Leadership Team. She is a graduate of Clemson University, where she earned a BS in Accounting. Sherri is currently mom to “Poncho”, the Palomino who is a much loved member of the Myrtle Beach Therapeutic Riding and Vaulting Club. Sherri has two daughters, Waverly and Suni. |
