Tim Melton
Senior Pastor [email protected] 843.357.6184 (x104) Tim joined Christ Church as Associate Pastor in 2021. Tim has served as a pastor for over 30 years in Presbyterian churches. Tim earned his Masters in Theology from Columbia International Seminary. Tim and his wife, Martha Jo, have been married since March of 1988 and have two grown children - Callie and Camp. Callie is married to Drew Nelson and they have one child, Atlas. Tim and Martha Jo also serve as Christian Counselors for Hope Discipleship and Soul Care. Tim loves the arts and enjoys using that talent to communicate the gospel in various creative ways - including digital art, video production, writing, and singing. Tim’s greatest desire in ministry is that people will know and experience the magnificent treasure of love that is found in a living Union with King Jesus. |

Kelsey Johanson-Huggins
Director of Communications [email protected] Kelsey joined the staff at Christ Church in 2024 as the Director of Communications. She ensures efficient internal and external church communication while providing support to the clergy in their ministerial duties. Prior to her role at Christ Church, she served as an Executive Assistant and Human Resources Coordinator. She first moved to Murrells Inlet in 2004 and is a graduate of St. James High School and the College of Charleston. Kelsey and her husband, Colby, were married at Christ Church in September of 2015. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Mary Egan and Quinn. Early in new motherhood, Kelsey realized the importance of finding other moms and building a community of support. In 2021, upon returning to Murrells Inlet and Christ Church after five years in the Charlotte area, God placed the mission of Connected Moms on her heart. Her passion is to bring mothers together to be blessed by, and to bear witness to, God’s unfailing love and grace during such a formative season of life. In her free time Kelsey enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, running and thrifting. |
Sherri Strickland
Financial Administrator [email protected] 843.357.6184 (x105) Sherri Strickland is a CPA with a small local practice in Myrtle Beach. She specializes in bookkeeping, individual tax returns, and many other areas of public accounting. She joined the staff at Christ Church in 2020. Sherri has been a Christ Church member since 2013 and has served on both the Finance Team and the Leadership Team. She is a graduate of Clemson University, where she earned a BS in Accounting. Sherri is currently mom to “Poncho”, the Palomino who is a much loved member of the Myrtle Beach Therapeutic Riding and Vaulting Club. Sherri has two daughters, Waverly and Suni. |
Cameron Crickenberger
Former Curate for Church Planting Planting Vicar of Church of the Ascension [email protected] Cameron joined the staff at Christ Church in 2022 as the Curate for Church Planting. He was ordained to the priesthood in May of 2024 and is the planting vicar of Church of the Ascension, an Anglican parish in the Carolina Forest neighborhood.
