Holy Week is the commemoration of the days in Jesus' life and ministry between his triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and his glorious resurrection from the dead on Easter Sunday.
Holy Week Service Times: (Childcare is available at all services.)
Palm Sunday, March 25 at 10:30am. This is a joyful celebration proclaiming the coming of our King, Jesus, and we also take a look ahead at the remembrance of his suffering for us.
Maundy (Holy) Thursday, March 29 at 6pm. Maundy Thursday receives its name from the mandatum (commandment) given by our Lord: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another” (John 13:34). At the Last Supper, Jesus washed his disciples’ feet and commanded them to love and serve one another as he had done. This day commemorates the Lord’s example of servant ministry, the institution of the Eucharist, the agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal leading to the crucifixion. This service includes foot-washing.
Good Friday, March 30 at 6pm. This is a sober and powerful service commemorating the day Jesus died on the cross.
Easter Sunday, April 1 at 10:30am. Alleluia! This is a joyful and light-filled service celebrating the day Jesus rose bodily from death. Alleluia!
